Filter carbon for clear aquarium water - especially when

refurbishing EHEIM KARBON is particularly suitable for clarifying the water during the retraction phase of the aquarium. Above all, chlorine from tap water and other chemical substances that have entered the aquarium during the refurbishment are deposited reliably. 
EHEIM KARBON is used for a short time (about 4 weeks) in the layer structure after the mechanical filter mass (eg EHEIM MECH or MECHpro) and the biological (eg EHEIM SUBSTRATpro).

  • Use eg after new equipment or medication
  • Use for a limited time (about 4 weeks)
  • Only suitable for fresh water

Tip:
Only use adsorptive filter media for a few weeks. Since the pollutants only adhere, they can dissolve again after some time and be transported back into the water. At least a regular exchange is necessary. Normally, adsorptive filtration is necessary only during the start-up phase of the aquarium or after the use of medication.
